I’m a motivated, honest, and positive Human Resources professional with 10 years of experience in multiple industries within multiple states.
I’m known for being able to make a brick wall talk. I am quirky, fun, driven, and thrive in a fast-paced environments. The C-Suite executives I’ve worked with love that I’m authentically myself, timely in my responses to all employees and willing to support anywhere I can. My passion for people and solutions is visible in any project I pursue. With an undergraduate degree in political science, I naturally take interest in the law and compliance matters, but I enjoy Learning & Development and succession planning. Nothing feels better than being able to help someone reach their career goals. I strive to empower individuals I partner with, providing them the coaching, tools and resources to confidently handle HR situations on their own
My background working in highly matrixed and/or international organizations in HR and with different functional areas within the business has created a unique blend of compliance, law, and people-focused decision-making philosophies. My strengths include critical thinking, being solutions-focused, and having an unmatched work ethic and desire to learn. I have consistently and successfully transformed company goals into HR initiatives that improve performance, profit, growth, and employee engagement and retention. I approach HR strategically, creating thoughtful succession plans, effective restructuring, and targeted training and programming. All of my methods are people-facing because I know that human capital is every organization’s greatest asset.
I grew up with a mother in HR and saw the effects on her from a world where employees believed that HR was “BAD”, only there for the business and not them. From that I have strived to do all I can to be empathetic, collaborative and customer focused. I believe HR is a customer service department and has to remember to balance our employee customers and our business customers. At the core, HR is about humanity. Having conversations from a place of empathy and finding a way to take care of my people while still being fair and consistent. I love to support people and help them solve problems.
In addition to being passionate about my career, I enjoy traveling and adventure which I find through both reading and submerge myself in a fictional world or in nature, by biking, kayaking, hiking, camping and all the other wonderful outdoor activities.
